The
Apparatus
Every piece in this studio is Gratz — original apparatus, not a reproduction. You can arrive with restrictions. The equipment is built to work with bodies that are not at their best.
The only Gratz studio on the Space Coast · Original apparatus · Made in the U.S.A.
Gratz Cadillac
If you have had surgery, if you are managing acute pain, if the idea of getting down on a mat or stepping onto a moving platform feels impossible right now — the Cadillac is where the work starts. You can work lying down, sitting, standing, supported from above. The session meets you where you are.
Most studios cannot offer this. If you can only access a Reformer, you cannot work with someone who needs to start from bed-level. The Cadillac changes what is possible on day one.
Gratz Reformer
This is likely what you picture when you think of Pilates. The Reformer is where most of the movement work happens — lying down, seated, kneeling, standing. The resistance comes from springs, which means the work can be made easier or harder based on what your body needs that day. A bad hip day is a different session than a strong day.
The Gratz Reformer is built to the original design. The spring tension, the carriage, the footbar geometry — all of it matters for how the body moves through the exercise. This is not the same piece you will find at a group studio.
Gratz Ladder Barrel
If your back has tightened from years of sitting, from surgery, or from a sport that pulls everything one direction — the Ladder Barrel works in the directions your body has stopped moving. Backwards. Sideways. Into extension. Things that feel unavailable become accessible when there is a curved surface to work against and something to hold.
This is not aggressive stretching. The barrel supports the spine through range it cannot find on its own. The ladder gives the hands something to hold so the rest of the body can release. You will probably leave this piece feeling taller.
Gratz Pedi-Pole
Standing work. You hold the pole for feedback, not for balance — the goal is to find how your body is actually organized when upright, and correct it. Posture patterns that you have carried for years become visible and addressable here in a way they are not on any lying-down apparatus.
You may be surprised by what you discover. You think you are standing straight. The Pedi-Pole shows you what straight actually feels like — and the difference is usually significant. This is also where decompression work happens if you are managing disc issues or chronic neck and back tension.
Gratz High Chair & Wunda Chair
The Chair is where everything comes together. After work on the Cadillac and Reformer builds strength and range, the Chair asks you to use it — standing, balancing, pressing, controlling. It exposes the left-right differences that every other piece lets you compensate around.
If your right hip is stronger than your left, the Chair will show it immediately. If your shoulder from the surgery three years ago is still not working the same way, the Chair will find it. That is not a problem — that is exactly the information needed to address it.
The Correctors & Small Apparatus
Gratz Foot Corrector
Foot and ankle work that most movement practices skip entirely. If your feet have been through surgery, if you have flat arches or bunions or plantar issues, or if you have simply never been taught how to use your feet — this is where that work happens. What your feet do affects everything above them.
Hand & Toe Correctors
Small tools, specific problems. If your hands have been affected by arthritis, injury, or surgery — or if your toes have never moved the way they should — these pieces work at a level of precision the large apparatus cannot reach. The work is quiet. The results show up everywhere else.
Why the Small Apparatus Matters
The large apparatus builds the pattern. The small apparatus makes it precise. A connection you cannot find standing or lying down is often findable with the right tool in your hand or under your foot. That connection does not stay in the tool — it transfers. This is the finish work that makes the rest of the session stick.
Original equipment.
Not a reproduction.
Every piece in this studio carries the Gratz plate — the mark of the manufacturer who built apparatus to Joseph Pilates' original specifications. Most studios use reproductions made by other manufacturers. The difference is not brand loyalty. It is in how the equipment moves, how it loads the body, and what becomes possible when the system is complete.
