For Referring Providers
Therapilatics provides private, one-on-one classical Pilates instruction on original Gratz apparatus. This page outlines what your patients can expect, the structure of the work, and how referral operates.
What I Provide
Therapilatics is a private classical Pilates practice operating under Pilates Footworks LLC in Melbourne, FL. Sessions are one-on-one, in a dedicated private room, on the complete Gratz apparatus suite — the equipment Joseph Pilates designed.
The practice is led by Laini Byfield, trained to Third Degree in the Romana Kryzanowska lineage and a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Her background in engineering shapes an assessment-first approach: every program is built from an individual movement assessment rather than a fixed protocol.
This is not group instruction or a fitness class. It is individualized movement work suited to patients managing pain, structural limitations, post-surgical recovery, and mobility loss — patients who need attention a group setting cannot provide.
The Referral Pathway
Introductory Assessment
Every referred patient begins with a one-hour movement assessment. History, movement screening, and a baseline are established. This determines whether and how the work fits the patient's needs.
A Program Built From Findings
Most patients begin a structured program — typically six to eight weeks — designed around the assessment. Frequency and focus are matched to the individual. The patient receives a written summary of findings and direction.
Ongoing Maintenance
Once the foundation is established, ongoing maintenance sessions hold the gains. Patients may reserve a standing weekly slot. Progress can be communicated back to the referring provider with patient consent.

Credentials
Payment & Scope
Therapilatics is cash-pay. I do not bill insurance, and I do not provide documentation for insurance billing by either party. This is post-rehabilitation movement work — fitness, not healthcare — and I stay firmly on that side of the line. No compensation is offered or accepted for referrals, in either direction.
